Google Play Mother’s Day promotion has 50% off books and 1-year magazines for $5
Want to do something nice for your mother this Mother’s Day? If flowers, candy and a nice brunch by the lake aren’t cutting it, perhaps some deals on Google Play Books and Magazines will. Google is offering 50% off select books and $5 1-year magazine subscriptions.
More, Fitness and Better Homes highlight the magazine selection, while novels like 1st to Die, Three Sisters, The Goldfinch could all be nice reads on otherwise boring days. Google is suggesting you get her a Nexus 7 to read all this on, natch, but you won’t be getting any discounts on that.

That IP67 certification for dust-proof and waterproof, and its tempered, toughened glass might be enough to withstand the elemental conditions of life, but all of that goes into the trash when it meets the barrel of one of the most powerful sniper rifles out there.
