You can get AT&T’s LG G Pad 7.0 starting August 8th for $250 off contract

AT&T will soon have an affordable new option for those in the market for a 4G-equipped tablet. The company has announced pricing and availability for their version of the LG G Pad 7.0, a 7-inch HD device with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and a 5 megapixel camera (up from the 3.15 megapixel shooter found on the original WiFi version)

The device has been stamped with an August 8th release date, and can be yours for as low as $250 off-contract. Those who prefer to sign a contract can get it for $150, and if you prefer the $0 down AT&T Next route it can be yours for $12.50 per month for 20 months.

Considering the camera has seen a slight upgrade in AT&T’s version we can’t be sure which specs the tablet shares with the WiFi version. Here’s the rest of the list just in case you’re wondering:

  • 8GB of internal storage w/ microSD card slot

  • 1GB of RAM

  • 4,000mAh battery

  • Android 4.4 KitKat

We’ve contacted AT&T to get additional details on their version, though we don’t expect to hear anything too surprising once they get back to us. You can be sure all the same software features are included, such as LG KnockCode, Dual Window and QSlide, QuickMemo+ and more. It should prove to be a very viable option once it launches later this week.

“LG G3 Stylus” leaked as possible Galaxy Note 4 competitor

Samsung is about to bring some serious heat to the smartphone world once IFA kicks off next month, with the South Korean company expected to announce the next iteration of their popular Galaxy Note lineup. It looks like LG could have something to say about that themselves if the latest leaks are anything to go by.

An “LG G3 Stylus” has been leaked in an official online product video, giving us a look at a phone with an even bigger profile than the 5.5-inch LG G3. As its name implies, the device (pictured to the far right in the image above) is poised to come with a stylus for various needs, including multi-tasking, artwork or drawing special characters in languages where writing it is more natural than typing.

We don’t know much about the phone’s specs, but we don’t expect it to one-up the LG G3 as the Note often does the Galaxy S. It might not even live up to Galaxy S5 standards with murmurings suggesting it won’t get much more than qHD (960 x 540) resolution. Speculation isn’t quite that useful without any hard evidence, though, so we’ll just have to wait for more details to leak into the atmosphere before we see where exactly LG is headed with this thing.
