Samsung Galaxy Note 2 KitKat Verizon Wireless 1

It’s happening, folks. After sitting back and watching as countless other devices received their coveted firmware updates to Android 4.4.2 KitKat, owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on Verizon are now finally on that list. There’s a bunch of new goodies including a revamped keyboard (pictured above), UI tweaks to the lockscreen and notification area, and the inclusion of new enterprise security software thanks to Samsung Knox 2.0. Here’s the quick list:

  • Support for Samsung KNOX 2.0

has been added  – Compatible for enterprise customers

  • Universal MDM Client and Samsung Enterprise Gateway

  • Knox Generic VPN Framework

Because the update was only just approved by Verizon, don’t freak out if you don’t see the update on your phone right away. Rollout should be commencing shortly and as always, you can manually check for the update by jumping into your Settings > About phone > System updates. Cheers!
