This could be our first good look at the Sony Xperia Z3, multiple images show Sony’s familiar design language
Rumors of a Sony Xperia Z3 are escalating after a few images of the alleged device popped up on a Chinese forum. Showing what is clearly labeled as a prototype device, a sticker on the device urges its user to NOT take picture of, with, or use benchmarking apps while using the phone. Top secret stuff, ya know.
One screenshot shows the device powered by a Snapdragon 801 processor and running on Android 4.4.4. As so often is the case with Sony’s flagships, it’s very difficult to tell this apart from previous models. It’s clear they’re using a similar 20.7MP shooter on the rear but exactly what Sony plans on packing under the hood to 1-up the already stellar Sony Xperia Z2 is anyone’s guess.
It’s possible we could see an official unveiling of the device during IFA 2014 kicking off in September. Let’s hope Sony has plans to actually release this device stateside sometime this year.

Mobile Roar 53: Samsung Black Hole
This episode started with three guys, but finishes with just two. Despite some glitches Kevin and Joe are able to hold it together for a great show. The guys talk about Samsung’s declining numbers and what they mean, plus HTC’s ascent back to profitability. They also discuss the TSA asking people to turn on their phones, the coolest cooler you can buy, Mathew Broderick as Godzilla, and Chris’ brief time with the OnePlus One.
