Pre-order your Sprint LG G2 starting October 11th for $200
Let the phablet season begin! Sprint has just announced pre-sale details for LG’s biggest phone yet — the LG G2. This 5.2-inch 1080p beast will go on sale later this year, and while we don’t yet have a solid release date to look forward to Sprint will be giving folks a chance to pre-order it starting October 11th for $200. That pretty much rules out all of September, so we’ll have to start doing our guesswork at some point in mid-October.
The LG G2 seems to be a very solid contender in a smartphone space that is heating up rather quickly. It was the bee’s knees when we first heard about it at the company’s New York City unveiling, with the following list of specs getting everyone excited:
- 5.2-inch 1080p HD display
- 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor
- 2GB of RAM
- 13 megapixel optical-image stabilization camera
- 2 megapixel front camera
- NFC
- WiFi
- Bluetooth
- 3,200 mAh battery
But Samsung quickly took the thunder back with the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (as well as the Galaxy Gear smart watch) last week. You can read all about that particular beast here, and take a nice, long glance at our hands-on coverage here.
A quick primer on its specs — which include a 5.7-inch 1080p display, an Octa Core Exynos or Snapdragon 800 processor, and a whopping 3GB of RAM — might immediately interest you if the LG G2 was something you were salivating over.
These two phones will no doubt enjoy a lot of time in our monthly best phones feature from here on out, and it won’t be long before they’re both sitting on store shelves. The hardest part will be making a decision on which to buy, so be sure to weigh all of the pros and cons before biting the bullet on either one. We’ll be looking to bring you a review of both these bad boys soon, though, so hopefully that’ll make things a little bit easier on you. Don’t forget to catch our G2 unboxing right here!
